First Names Group, a global, independent provider of trust, corporate and fund administration services, has appointed Selu Mdlalose as Associate Director, based in the Isle of Man office.

Mdlalose joins First Names Group from Senate Limited, an Isle of Man based corporate and trust services provider, where he served as Managing Director.

Mdlalose will build on this expertise at First Names Group, working closely with Client Service Directors, Mark Lewinand and Craig Brown to help build on and further develop the firm’s client base in Africa, in particular East and West Africa.

With over 14 years of financial services experience, Mdlalose has worked in senior financial management and client relationship roles at Deloitte, international captive insurance company Willis Management, and Bradford & Bingley International Ltd (now part of Santander Bank).

He is also a member of the Chartered Accountants of England and Wales (ICAEW), having trained and qualified as a Chartered Accountant with PwC.

Commenting on his appointment, Mdlalose said: “First Names Group is very well-known and respected in the Isle of Man so I am delighted to have been given the opportunity to become part of it. I look forward to contributing to the continued growth of the business while upholding its reputation for exceptional, people-focused client service.”

Mdlalose will report directly to Gary Hepburn, Managing Director for the Isle of Man.

“It is with great pleasure that I welcome Selu to the team. He is a highly skilled practitioner with invaluable hands-on experience behind him, and I am confident his knowledge and expertise will be a great asset to the Group – in particular as we continue to develop business in Africa. We are delighted to have him on board,” said Hepburn.
