Actis, a global sustainable infrastructure investor, has appointed Charles Daulon du Laurens as Head of EMEA within its Investor Development Group.

Du Laurens will lead fundraising and investor relations activities across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

He will report to Neil Brown, global Head of the Investor Development Group.

Du Laurens has extensive experience across capital markets, capital formation and business development.

Before joining Actis, he was Head of Investor Relations for InfraVia Capital Partners and has held similar roles with AXA IM – Real Assets Management, and Idinvest Partners.  Prior to those posts, he worked in banking for Morgan Stanley, Lehman Brothers, and UBS.

Du Laurens holds a Master’s in Business Administration from ESSEC Business School and a Master’s in Public Affairs from Institut d’Etudes Politiques, where he is also a Lecturer in Finance, a post he’s held since 2005.

Commenting on his appointment, du Laurens said: “It is a privilege to be joining Actis, a firm with an outstanding reputation for sustainable value creation in the infrastructure space. I look forward to working with the firm’s talented team and supporting its limited partners as we invest in compelling sustainable infrastructure opportunities across some of the world’s best growth markets."

Neil Brown, Head of the Investor Development Group at Actis, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Charles to Actis to engage our existing and prospective investor base across EMEA from within continental Europe. His international experience and perspective, gained working in support of world-class investors, will be a major asset to our organisation as we look to grow our presence in sustainable infrastructure globally.”
