The Carlyle Group has hired Georgette Kiser as Managing Director and Chief Information Officer (CIO), commencing on February 2, 2015.

Kiser will report to Co-Presidents and Co-Chief Operating Officers, Mike Cavanagh and Glenn Youngkin, and will be based in Washington, DC.

She will also join the management committee.

Kiser joins Carlyle from T. Rowe Price Group, where she was Vice President and Director of Enterprise Solutions and Capabilities for Services and Technology.

Commenting on her appointment, Kiser said: “This is a wonderful opportunity to lead the technology program at a world class global firm. I was attracted to Carlyle’s collaborative and innovative culture, and keen focus on investor needs. I look forward to partnering with Carlyle professionals around the world as we harness technology and information systems in service to our investors.”

Kiser joined T. Rowe Price in 1996 and served in a variety of increasingly senior roles, including Data Architect, Project Manager, Vice President for Global Business Solutions, and Emerging Solutions Manager for Investments, culminating in her most recent role as Vice President and Director of Enterprise Solutions and Capabilities for Services and Technology.

Outside of leading enterprise organizations that design and implement technical strategies for business enablement, Kiser is also deeply involved in civic organizations that enable her to give back to communities and help people in need.

As Carlyle CIO, Kiser will lead the firm’s global information technology group, developing and driving the IT strategy across the global enterprise, which includes the firm’s application development, data, digital, infrastructure, and program management and outsourcing activities.

Cavanagh and Youngkin said: “We are delighted to welcome Georgette to the firm. She brings a track record of success in designing and implementing technology solutions that support critical investor, business and regulatory needs. Technology is a long-standing priority at Carlyle and Georgette will help us build on our strong foundation.”
