KKR hires Haroun van Hövell to lead EMEA energy team

KKR has appointed Haroun van Hövell as a Managing Director and the Head of its Energy Team covering Europe, Middle East and Africa.
KKR has appointed Haroun van Hövell as a Managing Director and the Head of its Energy Team covering Europe, Middle East and Africa.
Van Hövell joins KKR from Riverstone Holdings, where he was a Managing Director and responsible for sourcing and managing investments across the energy industry, with a particular focus on the exploration & production and midstream sectors.
Van Hövell said: "I am excited to join an investment firm with such an outstanding global reputation. KKR's longstanding presence and track record in the EMEA region and its flexible and entrepreneurial approach to investments in the energy sector are particularly attractive."
His prior experience also includes 4Gas Holding, The Carlyle Group and Salomon Smith Barney.
